Troublehshooting a 2016 Nissan Frontier That Has Headlights Working Intermittently

Question:

2016 with troubling intermittent taillight issue may have original cause from trailer lighting circuit. Trouble presents as a blown taillight fuse #7. But removing the fuse shows it is good. Replace with same fuse and lights work. Trailering will again caucused both truck and trailer to go out and the cycle repeats with it resetting after remove and replace fuse 7. Later was able to get truck tail lights back with just the passage of time left overnight and worked in the morning. Could this be the relay that was mentioned in a 2018 frontier post? Can you help me resolve?

From what you're describing it sounds like there is an issue with your trailer light relay. Since the fuse itself is not blowing It wouldn't lead me to believe that there is a voltage issue so I'd recommend checking that relay.

If it turns out that the relay is bad, you'll just want to replace it with the Curt Relay Kit for Nissan Armada or Titan Aftermarket Tow Package # C57000 and you'll be good to go. The fuse box where you will find this relay should be located in the cab under the dash.

If the issue still continues feel free to come back and we can take another peek at it.
