Powering Small Winch With 7 Pin Connector - What Do I Do With The Black And Red Wires?

Hello, I want to use the 7 pin trailer connector to power a small winch from my 2021 F-150. I have the correct gauge of wiring and I have an 7 pint connector ready to be wired. I just need to know where do I connect the Red and Black wires from the winch to the 7 pin connector. I believe the red wire goes to the 1 oclock position on my connector. Where would the black wire go? Thanks in advance,

The black wire on your winch is going to be the ground wire. Generally this would be grounded to the negative post on your Battery. If there is no battery on your trailer you can ground the black wire to the trailer frame. The red wire will be for power, and this will be connected to the 1 o'clock (12v Aux) pin on your 7 way connector.
