Troubleshooting Atwood GC94018 Water Heater Not Staying Lit

Question:

I have an Atwood GC94018 which is about 18 months old. It wont stay lit to heat the water. I turn the faucet on, get a shot of warm to hot water, then it turns completely cold.

With your pilot light going out like that you'll want to check your gas pressure - we recommend having this done by a certified technician.

There used to be a part 91602 that was a Replacement Gas Regulator that could be part of the problem as well, but this part has been discontinued along with all of the other Atwood products since they went out of a business a number of years ago.

If your gas pressure looks good then it's likely your water heater is shot and needs to be replaced. Should this be the case, I recommend replacing it with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater - Gas - Automatic Pilot - 60,000 BTU - 18" x 18" Door # FR68SR since the tankless water heaters have really advanced in recent years and do an absolutely amazing job at keeping your water nice and hot.

I'm attaching a video for your reference with this new system.
