Backup Camera Options For A 2015 Ford F-350 With Service Box Bed

Question:

i have a 2015 Ford F350 4x4 crew cab. it has a service box bed added. the factory back up camera was eliminated with the factory bed. Putting in reverse, the factory nav screen says no camera detected. Can i assume the wiring is in place and i just need to add your license plate frame camera, or should i get complete system? also have 2005 excursion limited i am upgrading. it has no nav system or wiring. i am going to upgrade the factory system to Nav with an in dash screen. if i install your regular system now, can it be integrated into a new nav system later?/easily? thanks, JRA

The license plate camera system we currently offer all require A/V input so as long as both your F-350 and Excursion displays have A/V input you can use a system like the Rear View Safety Backup Camera # RVS-778. If the display doesn't have A/V input then you would have to use a system that replaces the rear view mirror, like part # RVS-778718N, or one that comes with a separate monitor like the Hopkins # HM50002 you were looking at.

If the F-350 display doesn't have A/V input you could probably also reach out to Ford for a camera system that is compatible with the factory display so that you're not having to replace the mirror or use a separate monitor.
