Carlisle Electric Over Hydraulic Actuators Compatible w Integrated Brake Controller 2014 Ford F350
Question:
Is my factory Integrated Brake Controller on my 2014 F-350 Compatible with the Carlisle Hydrastar also do I need to add a solenoid for the trailer not to lock up in reverse. What is the body of the controller made out of is it metal or stainless steel.

Yes, I checked with Carlisle and they confirmed that the Carlisle HydraStar Electric-Over-Hydraulic Actuator part # HBA-10 will work with the integrated brake controller of your 2014 Ford F-350.
You would not need a reverse lock-out solenoid either as they are only needed on trailers with surge brakes. That is one of the advantages to an electric over hydraulic system is that you do not have to mess with any of that.
The body of the # HBA-10 is made of extruded aluminum so it will be not rust.
This also applies for the disk brake version of the this actuator part # HBA-16. If you had a 2007 or a 2008 Ford you would need the adapter part # HBA-CAM.
