Why Does The Fogatti Tankless Water Heater Keep Cycling In Cold Weather
Question:
Just hooked up our Fogatti tankless water heater. We are in some pretty extreme Colorado cold right now and it seems that at night time the heater is turning on and off a number of times in the course of half an hour. I know it has a temperature protection cycle to keep from bursting the heating element, but does it run that cycle multiple times in sequence or is it supposed to be once to get the temperature up?

Expert Reply:
When the temperature of the water inside the Fogatti RV Tankless Water Heater # LSB64FR dips down to 43 degrees the unit will cycle to warm the water back up to 90 degrees to protect itself. It will keep doing this until it errors out or the temperature rises enough that the water stays above 43 degrees.
