Is There A Maximum Speed Rating For The Yakima EXO Y62VR?

I have a 2023 toyota highlander with a tow package. I am traveling to AZ from WI. and had planned on buying a cargo hitch basket to be able to increase the storage space available for trip. Some one told me that I could not drive more than 55 miles an hour while using one of those. Is that true?

There are not any driving speed limitations when using the Yakima EXO Swing Away Enclosed Cargo Carrier # Y62VR. You will be able to drive normally at highway speed. This will be the case with all of the hitch cargo carriers that we offer.

I have heard of certain low-end cargo basket makers putting speed limitations on their baskets. Any such limitation would make me seriously question the strength and durability of said carrier. We certainly do not deal with anything like that here at etrailer.

All of that said, the Yakima EXO is a fantastic choice for a carrier. It is extremely durable and versatile. Yakima makes a ton of other accessories for the EXO system, and the swing anay feature is very convenient.
