Installation of the Tow-Ready T-One Wiring Harness on a 2007 Chevrolet Colorado
Question:
I just want to make sure....this 118301 wiring harness will work on my 2007 colorado?? Nothing else needed? I see something bout with or without 7 wire connector?? I dont know if I have that or not!? Also, is it a must to the spare tire. I never have had it down and hear its not easy. I keep a separate full-size spare in the bed. If I had to I could just hacksaw the wire rope/cable holding it as I dont need the donut spare at all Thanks for the help!

The Tow-Ready T-one vehicle Wiring Harness # 118301 is confirmed as a fit for your 2007 Chevy Colorado. This will connect to the existing wiring on your vehicle and will establish a 4-way flat trailer connection.
This T-one is intended to be use on vehicles that do not already have a factory installed 7-way. You will be able to look at the rear of your truck and see if you have a 7-way connector. If not, then this is the correct part for you.
I have included an installation video of the # 118301 on a 2007 Colorado, and the spare tire is not required to be removed for installation of this wiring connector.
If you do have a 7-way installed, then you can use the # 74682 also from Tekonsha. This uses a different style connector and would replace a malfunctioning 7-way. This wiring harness will supply both a 7-way and a 4-flat connection.
Another option if you already have a 7-way is to use an adapter like the Hopkins # 47345. This adapter has an integrated tester that is helpful if you encounter wiring issues, it will work with a 7-way and a 4-flat trailer connectors.
