Parts Needed to Tow Camper Trailer With 2015 Honda CR-V

Hi there, We have a 2015 2.0l Honda CRV and we are looking to buy a jayco finch or dove or something similar 1986-1990 models seem to be in our budget. We are new to the camping world and are not sure what we need or whether our car will be suitable to tow these models. Any insight would be greatly appreciated!

You can tow a trailer with your 2015 Honda CR-V and we can get you set up with the right parts. According to the owner's manual I looked up online, your '15 CR-V has a towing capacity of up to 1,500 lbs, so that's the max your trailer can weigh. From what I saw the trailers you mentioned were close to that, but there were a number of models so you'll want to verify their total weight and not go past 1,500 lbs. Here are the parts you'll need to tow with your CR-V:

- Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56158

The hitch has a max 3,500 lb towing capacity so it is more than strong enough to tow what your CR-V is rated for (never go past the 1,500 lbs your CR-V can tow even if the hitch is rated higher), and then the 4-flat is exactly what you need to utilize your trailer's lighting.
