Will the Thule Quick Grip Cargo Box Mounting Feet Fit a Thule Evolution and 2006 Jeep Commander

I need to fit this rack on a 2006 Jeep Commander and I am wondering these clamps will fit this Thule Evolution cargo box AND allow it to fit the Jeep?

The Thule Quick Grip Mount Assembly # TH05738 does fit the 2006 Jeep Commander with either the Sport crossbars or standard crossbars from the factory. However, to use them with the Evolution cargo box you would have to make modifications to the box. And you would need to use cradle # TH8523387001 for each foot. The feet and the cradles are sold in quantities of one.

Making modifications to the cargo box can make it structurally unsound and not safe for use. I do not recommend making modifications to the box for this reason.

Considering the cost of 4 feet and 4 cradles you would be part way to getting a different box that already has this type of foot. I have included a link to the Thule boxes for you. The Sidekick, # TH78GC, does not use the clamp style feet. It uses u-bolts so it would not be as easy as the other current generation Thule boxes.
