Adding A 5-Flat Connector To A 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK350
Question:
Hi, My boat trailer has a 5-pin connector, with the reverse wire kicking in a solenoid to bypass the surge brakes when backing up the trailer. All I see for the 2010 Mercedes GLK350 is 4-pin connectors. Do you not have a 5-pin setup thatll work with my vehcile? Thanks,

We can certainly set up your 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK350 with a 5-flat connector. The 5 flat is becoming pretty uncommon, so there are not going to be any plug-and-play 5 flat harnesses. What you can do is install a 4-flat connector # C59236 and a 4 pole to 5 pole adapter # 20036. The blue wire on the adapter kit will connect to your vehicles reverse light circuit, giving you the 5 flat plug and allowing you to activate the reverse lockout solenoid on your trailer.
I have linked a few of our install videos below. We have not done any videos on a 2010 Mercedes-Benz GLK-Class yet, but it should still give you a pretty good idea of the install process.
