Why Doesn't Brake Controller Voltage When Tested Parked Ramp Up Higher than Manual Override
Question:
I replaced my horse trailer hubs and brak assy Got parts from etrailer When depressing my break petal on my 2021 F350. I only get one bar on gain out put. When depressing brk controller manualy ,I can controll higher there ??? Before replacing trailer breaks worked perfect. At a 5 to 6 gain setting. Only after installing am I having issues. I did adjust breaks as recommended on etrailer video and tech help. What am I missing ??? Thank You

Expert Reply:
Your truck has a proportional brake controller that needs to sense a change in inertia for the braking output to really ramp up. So what you are seeing is normal since you are testing the output when vehicle is parked.
