How to Determine Trailer Coupler Size For Selecting Hitch Ball On Weight Distribution Hitch
Question:
How do you determine your coupler size and ball size needed for a given coupler?

Expert Reply:
There are a couple ways to determine what size ball would be required for a trailer when selecting a weight distribution hitch like the Fastway e2 # FA94-00-0800. First if you have access to the trailer you will find the ball size stamped into the coupler. If you do not have access to the trailer you will want to contact either the person/business selling the trailer or the trailer manufacturer. They should be able to direct you to the correct size hitch ball whether it be a 2" # EQ91-00-6080 or 2-5/16" # EQ91-00-6100.
