Why Does BulletProof Adjustable Ball Mount # HD258 Have Different Drop than Manufacturer
Question:
You say the Buller Proof HD258 has a 9 inch / rise . The Bullet Proof site states its an 8 inch / rise ? I need a ball hitch for my Chevy Silverado 2024 2500HD with a 2 /1/2 hitch that can tow 20000lbs and have a 7 inch .

Not every place measures rise and drop from the same place which is why some of our options don't always match what the manufacturer lists. We use the most accepted places to measure from to determine rise/drop with the top of the hitch opening down to the ground and the bottom of the coupler down to the ground. This is why we have the part # HD258 listed as 9 inches of drop.
This would work great either way for providing 7 inches of drop like you need though. It fits a 2-1/2 inch hitch like you need.
