Can a Fixed 5th Wheel Hitch Be Used On a 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 Short Bed With Factory Prep/Puck Bed?

Do I have to use a sliding 5th wheel hitch on my 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 since I have a short bed.

You can use a Fixed 5th Wheel Hitch # BWRVK3710 on your 2024 GMC Sierra 2500 if you have a pivoting pin box like the Sidewinder # RP77FR. Do note you will need a Wedge # RP74FR to prevent the pin box from turning on the hitch. Without having a pivoting pin box you will not be able to make full jackknife turns without risking the side of the camper coming into contact with your cab.
If you have a standard pin box I recommend using the Demco Autoslide 5th Wheel Hitch # DM79GV. This will drop into the factory bed mounts like the B&W 5th wheel hitch above. It automatically slides back up to 14" as you turn to ensure you have enough clearance for you to make full jackknife turns.
