Replacing 7 Pin Trailer Module On A 2016 Freightliner Cascadia
Question:
Freightliner cascadia 2016 7 pin receptacle for pigtail malfunctioning the mechanic shop is saying trailer connecting module has to be changed.

It is not unheard of for the trailer harness modules to go bad. I do have a potential option for replacing it. We do not carry any kind of OEM replacement module, but we do sell wiring kits you can use the replace it. For your 2016 Freightliner Cascadia, I recommend using a 4 pin hardwire kit like the # C59496, then adding on the # ETBC7 install kit. This would basically replace all of the factory wiring and give you all of the components to install a fully functioning 7 way plug. The # ETBC7 kit comes with 25' of wire, so you may need additional. We sell 10 gauge wire by the foot # 10-1-1 if you need more.
