Solution for 5th Wheel Trailer that Sits Nose High and Has Close Clearance to Tailgate

Question:

I have a 2024 Chevy 3500 short bed with oem puck system. My trailer is a 2018 Sabre 30RLT. I currently have an Anderson hitch and I only have 1 inch of clearance between the pin box and the tailgate when I’m towing. The nose of the Sabre sits high, the trailer isn’t level. Can I run a fixed fifth wheel hitch or do I have to have a slider hitch? It appears the trailer has an extended king pin. Measuring from the back of the pin box to the front of the king pin is 32.5 inches. I’ve attached photos.

What actually would be your best solution would be a lift kit for your trailer. This will allow your trailer to sit level like it needs to be and will improve the clearance issue you are having as well. For that you'd want the part # RR23QX which will give the trailer a lift of 2-1/4 inches.
