Hopkins 4-Way Recommendation to Re-Wire a Trailer with a Vehicle 6-Way Installed

i have a 4 way flat male connector on my truck i have just purchased a home made trailer that has a 6 way round female end on my trailer i cannot find an adapter all of them are 6way round female to 4way flat male connectors how would you recomend i take care of this ihave inclided a picture of the wrong adapter

Since you said your trailer was a homemade trailer I wonder if someone mistakenly installed a vehicle side 6-way on the trailer and that is why you have a female 6-way there.
The best recommendation I can give you would be to cut off the 6-way on your trailer and wire up a trailer 4-way like part # HM48110. I attached an FAQ on trailer wiring for you to check out.
The easiest way to determine the functions of the wires of the trailer wiring would be to use a jumper wire and a car battery to apply voltage on the wires to see what circuits illuminate.
On the # HM48110 the yellow wire is the left turn and brake, the green is right turn and brake, brown is tail light and white is ground.
