Can Curt Spectrum Brake Controller Bypass OEM Controller of 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500  

Question:

My 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 3.0 already has the integrated brake controller BUT IT HAS FAILED. Can I install the Curt Spectrum in my 2020 Chevy Silverado? Do I need special cables to bypass the current system such as the Brake Power Control Module Assembly and brake controller dash switch?

You can bypass the OEM brake controller of your 2020 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the Curt Spectrum part # C51170 but the truck will need to be taken to a dealer so they can reflash the the computer. The correct install harness for your truck and this controller is the part # C51525.
