We have a slide out that measures 82 in from flange to flange. Which size slide out topper/awning should be purchase? Would the 85 inch be too small?

For an 82" slide out you will want the 85" Solera RV Slide-Out Awning item # LCV000165062 you were looking at. This will not be too small. You will want to ensure you have a minimum of 7" of clearance on both sides of your slide-out.
