What is the Hitch Pin Depth on a Hitch for a 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon?
Question:
I’d like to use this hitch to carry a Velocirax 6 bike carrier Velocirax states that there’s a requirement for 3 3/8” depth past center of the hitch pin hole for this bike rack to work. Does the 76227 have that?

It will be close but yes it will work. The hitch pin hole on the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch item # 76227 sits 3" inside the rear bumper on a 2018 Subaru Outback so you'll have right at 3/8" to spare. I took a look at that bike rack, which has an interesting design, and it looks like nothing gets closer to the back of the vehicle until the front tires. It says the top of the rack is 58" tall. I recommend measuring from 16" above the ground to 58", so 74" total, to see if you will have clearance for your tires. The 16" will be the height of the top of the hitch receiver. You should be above the rear of your Subaru but you'll definitely want to confirm this measurement so you don't break your rear glass or damage your roof.
The Draw-Tite item # 76227 is custom fit for a 2018 Subaru Outback Wagon and bolts to the vehicle with included hardware.
If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C56040 and a ball mount kit item # C45534.
