Availability of a 2" Trailer Hitch Receiver For a 2014 Honda Civic Sedan  

Question:

I have a 2014 Honda Civic Sedan. I watched the video and the man recommended the eco hitch with a 2 inch opening but I cant it. It shows me only the Curt hitch with 1.25 opening. Why ?. I want to a bike rack with a 5 eighth inch diameter pin and a 2 inch removable sleeve. Will the curt hitch with smaller diameter work ok ?

It sounds like you are looking for the EcoHitch Trailer Hitch Receiver # 306-X7235 for your 2014 Honda Civic Sedan. This has the 2" hitch opening and 5/8" hitch pin.

If you choose to go with the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11391 you will need to use a class I compatible rack like the Thule EasyFold XT # TH903202. This bike rack will fit the smaller 1-1/4" receiver on the Curt as well as the larger 2" receiver on the EcoHitch with the included adapter.

I recommend installing the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness # C56011 when you install the receiver. This will give you a 4-way flat connector which will allow you to use Auxiliary Lights # C53201. The lights are needed since most bikes will impair the view of the vehicle tail lights when loaded.
