Recommended Base Rail Bracket Kit For A 2006 Dodge Ram 2500
Question:
I just bought a 2006 Dodge 2500, I need to install a Reese 30032 fifth wheel hitch. I have the rails but I didnt get the installation brackets for the truck frame in the purchase. I was wondering if you sell the kit?

Not all rails will work with every bracket kit so I would really need to know the model number of the rails that you have to confirm that the brackets will fit. I recommend going with the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit w/ Base Rails for 5th Wheel Trailer Hitches # RP50140-58, which would be the rails, brackets, and hardware all in one kit so that we know everything will be compatible. You could try purchasing just the brackets and hardware with part # RP50140, but there's no guarantee that they'll work with the rails you have and you might end up having to purchase the rails # RP58058 separately.
Once the rails/brackets are in place you should be all good to go to mount your Reese 5th Wheel hitch. If you don't have an in-bed 7-way connection point then I highly recommend also picking up the Curt 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Custom Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Connector # C56071 to plug in the trailer.
