How To Replace The Top and Bottom Covers For The Lippert Electric Trailer Jack # LC285318

Question:

After I remove the top cover, how do I remove the bottom cover so I can replace it? I’ve purchase both the top and bottom cover from eTrailer.

I reached out to Lippert as we have not yet replaced a Bottom Cover # LC23UD for the Lippert Electric Trailer Jack # LC285318. They said once you have removed the Top Cover # LC285160 by removing the 4 outer cover screws and 2 screws under the override cover you will then need to unbolt the motor from the jack tube. They said there are 4 screws holding the motor to the vertical tube. One piece of advice is to make your you mark/label the wiring for the different switches, motor and light since they will need to be removed to feed out the cover. The cover then slides up off the jack and the parts will reinstall in the reverse order.
