The first thing you need to do is consult the owners manual for your 2003 Inifinity QX4 and determine if your vehicle has the capacity to tow the weight of your trailer.

The Class 3 hitches we have available for your 2003 Inifiniti QX4 like the Curt Hitch Part # 13088 have a 6,000 lb capacity when used with weight distribution. Which you need to consider the weight of your trailer when it is full loaded and ready to tow. You may find that you are above this capacity when you have all your cargo loaded in your trailer.

The first wiring component you will need is a 4-way. For that I would recommend the Curt Wiring Harness part # C55361. I attached installation instructions for this product, but basically it wires in line with your current taillight circuits to provide you with the lighting functions for your trailer.

Now the next thing you will need to do is convert the 4-way to a 7-way so that you can operate a brake controller. For that you will need the Brake Controller Installation Kit Part # ETBC7. This comes with everything to install a brake controller. I attached installation instructions and an install video for you to check out as well.

Now for a brake controller I would recommend the Prodigy P2 Brake Controller Part # 90885. This is our best selling brake controller because of how well it works and how easy it is to install. To install this you will also need to refer to the instructions for the # ETBC7. I attached a review video as well.

For ball mounts and hitch balls check out the etrailer.com Ball Mount kit part # 989900. This comes with two ball mounts and two ball sizes so that as long as you have either a 1-7/8 inch coupler or a 2 inch coupler you would be covered.

Finally, for weight distribution you want to base your selection of the loaded tongue weight of the setup when it is ready to tow. This includes the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle in the tow vehicle. I attached an FAQ on determining tongue weight for you to check out as well as one on weight distribution. For example, if you determine your tongue weight is right at 550 lbs which is most likely the max capacity for your vehicle I would recommend Strait Line Weight Distribution Hitch part # RP66083 as this has a tongue weight range of 400-800 lbs.
