Best Hitch for a 2011 Honda CR-V
Question:
Best trailer hitch - highest rated or your rating - for a 2011 Honda CRV? Does it come w/ a ball end? Would I need to get one separately? Thx

I pulled the manual for your 2011 Honda CRV. It says your vehicle tops out at 1,500 lbs for towing capacity so paying extra for a 4,500 lbs capacity hitch like item # 75547 doesn't make sense. Adding this high of a capacity hitch won't give you anymore than the 1,500 lbs your CRV is rated for.
The best hitch for both value and ability is going to be the etrailer Hitch item # e39AR. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your 2011 Honda CR-V with included hardware. This is our house brand model but it is made to the exact same specifications as the Curt item # 13555.
The etrailer Hitch item # e39AR is a class III hitch with a 2" receiver. It does not come with a ball mount or hitch ball so I recommend using the Curt Towing Starter Kit for 2" Hitches item # C45534. This towing kit will provide you with a 2" ball and a fixed ball mount with a 3/4" rise and 2" drop. It also includes a hitch pin and clip, hitch receiver lock with keys, hitch cover, and a storage case.
Since you are towing a trailer you will also need the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C55106.
