Roller Bunks For 8 Foot Long Bunk Boards on Jet Ski Trailer

Question:

Hi Kyle, I have a a 2010 Shorelander dual jet ski trailer that i want to take from a wooden bunk to a roller bunk. I’ve watched the video provided and heard that there is hardware NOT included to mount the rollers to the brackets. How can you provide them to me as well. Next, the wooden bunks are 8 feet long now. I would need 4 4 foot sections per each ski with appropriate brackets and hardware, U bolts and other mounting bolts… Is this correct please. Did you also infer or say that o could just mount these rollers onto my existing wooden bunks without taking off the existing wooden bunks? Is that smart to do or is it better to mount them alone and take off the wood ones. IF that would work for the season and then in the winter i could take them off and start over, I’d do that.. just order all the parts now. Please help and advise for parts, etc. as well. Thanks a lot.

Since you have 8 foot wooden bunks already, you can indeed just mount the roller bunks directly to the wooden bunks with 3/8" lag screws, and you're correct you'd need four of the CE Smith Roller Bunks for Boat Trailers - 4' Long # CE27700.

The lag screws are something you'd have to pick up at your hardware store, and that's the route I'd go since it's just easier overall (and just as safe) than removing your current bunks.

But if you're more comfortable removing your current bunk boards that would be perfectly fine, you'd just need a total of eight of the CE Smith Bolster and Swivel Bracket Assemblies for Roller Bunks # CE10003G-4 and CE Smith U-Bolts # CE15283GA-4.
