Is It Normal for Loadstar ST225/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire to Have Pinholes in Sidewall

Question:

I currently have a set of 225/75 15 loadstars on my travel trailer. However one keeps losing air during storage. Test with a soapy water solution indicates the tire has very small pinholes in the sidewall. This particular tire almost seems porous.I want to get a new set but am apprehensive to do so.

Completely understandable, although I will say that's very unusual for the Loadstar ST225/75D15 Bias Trailer Tire # AM1ST96 since the Kenda brand is a very reliable brand. If you're still within the warranty time-frame I do recommend pursuing that first, but if not then you can either replace it with the same tire knowing that the pin holes won't be present in a replacement, or you can go with this tire instead:

- Provider ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire - Load Range E # TR225LRE

The Taskmaster Provider is a step up from the Kenda brand when it comes to quality, and they were the first manufacturer to push the higher speed limit ratings for tires so they are actively testing the limits of their tires and looking for ways to improve the tires and their ratings.
