Does the Curt Hitch item # C96NR Work w/ an 18 Inch Spare Tire on a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee?

I am looking for a hitch for a 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and came across the Curt C96NR on your website. I have an 18" spare tire and don't want to buy a hitch that keeps me from mounting it underneath my suv. Will the Curt work for my Jeep and allow me to store a 18" spare tire?

The answer to both of your questions is yes. The Curt Trailer Hitch item # C96NR is confirmed to fit your 2023 Jeep Grand Cherokee and it will allow you to reinstall your 18" spare and store it beneath your Jeep. This hitch is custom fit and bolts to your Jeep with included hardware.

I have attached a couple of pictures below that will show you what this hitch looks like once installed.

If you are planning on towing you will also need a wiring harness item # C27BR and a ball mount kit item # C45534. This wiring harness is for the Grand Cherokee's that do not have the towing package. I have linked an installation video below.

I also recommend using the No-Drill Mount Bracket item # 18136 and the item # C42CR to secure the 4-way connector to your hitch. This will put it in an easy to reach spot and prevent the risk of it falling onto the road.
