What Is The Correct PSI For A 5.70-8 Load Range C Tire?
Question:
Hi, Ive bought a couple things from you and trust your advice. Question: I have a 1994 Coleman Roanoke pop up camper. Weighs about 1000 pounds. I mounted 2 new EcoTrail 5.7x8.0 tires. Rated 910 pounds at 75psi Max. Theres no info in the Coleman Manual or stickers on the pop up stating recommended tire PSI. What pressure should I inflate the tires to? Thanks! Keven

Expert Reply:
The 910 lb rating indicates that this is a load range C tire. The maximum PSI for a tire like this is 75 PSI. For Example the Kenda 5.70-8 # AM30120 have a ply rating of 6 and a 910 lb max load at 75 PSI. Also, each tire should have the PSI specified on the sidewall of the tire itself. It would likely not be listed anywhere in the specs for the trailer. In order to extend the life of your tires, will want to always inflate them to their maximum psi and stay under their listed load capacity.
