Towing a Fifth Wheel with a 2007 Toyota Tundra Crewmax with a 5-1/2 Foot Bed
Question:
There is a solution, but you may not be able to use the items that came with your trailer depending on what you currently have. In order to tow a 5th wheel trailer with your 2007 Toyota Tundra with a 5-1/2 foot bed you will need to use a stationary 5th wheel hitch and a Sidewinding pin box on your trailer. We do have several hitches that are confirmed to fit your 2007 Toyota Tundra Crewmax with a 5-1/2 foot bed length. I have included a link to the fifth wheel hitches that are confirmed as a fit for your 2007 Toyota Tundra, just select your bed length of 5-1/2 foot, and you will see the options that are available. I would advise knowing the 5th wheel tow rating of your truck and the weight of your trailer when it is fully loaded and ready to tow to determine which hitch will work for your application. To determine the correct sidewinder that you will need to make sharp turns and not hit your cab you will need to determine which pin box you currently have on your trailer and find the correct Sidewinding compatible option. Usually you can find a manufacturer label that indicates the pinbox model number on it, but if not I have included a link to our helpful article that will help you figure our which pin box you currently have. I have included a link to the sidewinders that we offer, so that once you determine what you have which model you need to replace you can select the appropriate sidewinder for your trailer.
