Replacement For Dometic Air Conditioner For RV

Question:

I own a 2011 Newmar Dutchstar 4344. I have 3 Dometic AC units model 651516.301JO photo attached. Do you have offer a replacement unit to fit these units? I understand I may also need a new thermostat. Any assistance is greatly appreciated.

You can replace your Dometic AC units and won't need a new thermostat to do so, though you may need an adapter, the Adapter Wiring Kit for Advent Air RV Air Conditioners - 9-Pin to 6-Pin # ACCOLKIT.

We don't have a way to look this up, but you can check this by removing the cover on the air distribution box inside your RV to see the controller where the wiring runs. The harness for your existing unit will hang down and plug into the controller, and will be either the 6- or 9-pin connector (see below). If you have a 9-pin connector you will need the # ACCOLKIT, but if you have a 6-pin connector you can just replace the unit with one of the following:

- Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 13,500 Btu # ACM135

- Advent Air RV Air Conditioner - 15,000 Btu # ACM150
