Best Equalizer Upgrade, Shocks, Suspension Kit For 8,000 lb Triple Axle Trailer w/ 35" Axle Spacing

Question:

I have a 2020 DRV LX455 Full House Toy Hauler with triple 8000 lb Dexter Axles. I have approximately 30,000 miles on this trailer and have had 3 of the leaf springs break. I am looking at replacing all 6 springs and all suspension components. Which equalizers you show are heaviest duty. My axle spacing is 35 inches. I am also wanting to add shock absorbers. What shock kit do you recommend? Also want to replace all new brass bushings in place of plastic. Thanks

Okay, we can get you all of that, and let's start with the equalizer upgrade, suspension kit, and shocks for your toy hauler with triple 8,000 lb axles. The best equalizer upgrade for your 35 inch axle spacing, along with the needed suspension kit is the following:

- MORryde Rubber Equalizers for Triple Axle Trailers - 35" Wheelbase # MR39ZR

- MORryde Suspension Upgrade Kit for Triple Axle Trailers # MR86ZR

This will give you the heavy-duty set-up you want while also cushioning your ride. It provides 3 inches of travel which means much less movement for your suspension than any other option and less overall wear on the components. The suspension kit will then give you the brass bushings you want, along with wet bolts and strong 1/2 inch shackle straps. Then for the shock kit, there is one option that will work:

- Roadmaster Comfort Ride Shock Absorbers for Triple Axle Trailers - 8,000 lb Axle # RM-2470-3

The Comfort Ride will work in tandem with the MORryde kit for the smoothest possible ride with the least amount of movement so you'll have what is the best overall set up on your toy hauler. Then for the leaf springs we only offer one option for 8,000 lb axles, the 7-Leaf Double-Eye Spring for 8,000-lb Trailer Axles # DX74XR.

This may work for you, but it's important to measure your current leaf springs from center eye to center eye. The # DX74XR measures 24-7/8 inches from center eye to center eye, and because leaf springs elongate over use, if the measurement on your current springs is a bit longer (about 25-1/4 inches or so) then these will be perfect for you.
