Troubleshooting a Progressive Dynamics 4100 Series RV Converter Not Showing a Green Indicator Light

Question:

Hi, I purchased the PD4135KW2B from etrailer earlier in the year. I just want to know if the green indicator light should be on the converter. My unit never seems to turn on. Please advise. Thanks.

The green light on the Progressive Dynamics 4100 Series RV Converter # PD4135K is actually the status indicator light for the interrogated charge wizard.

Boost Mode: Indicated by green LED remaining on.

Normal Mode: When the battery is between 50% and 90% charged, the green LED will flash once per second.

Storage Mode: Indicated by green LED flashing every 6 - 8 seconds.

The charge wizard is only compatible with lead acid AGM batteries, if it is in lithium mode the charge wizard can be ignored.

If you are not using lithium batteries and never get a green indicator light, there are a couple things to check. The most likely option is either a blown fuse (or fuses) so you will want to start there. Next, check to make sure it is not overloaded with excessive voltage, that can cause the unit to shut down.
