Cargo Box that Will not Interfere with Hatch or Antenna for 2014 Mazda CX-5

Question:

We have a 2014 Mazda CX-5 with factory crossbars. We are looking for a cargo box that will fit without interfering with the hatch and antenna. We need the cargo box to hold skis, the longest one being 165 cm. Is there one thatd fit?

If I do the match correctly the longest set of skis you have are 65 inches. This is good because that means you will not need a long cargo box which will increase the possible options that will fit without interference.

The Pulse L # TH615 does have the length you need without being too long. On the inside the box is 72 inches long, 76 inches long on the outside. Thule does list the box as a fit for your 2014 Mazda CX-5 and it will not interfere with the rear hatch when opened.

However, Thule does not test for antenna interference. If the antenna does not go any higher than the tops of the crossbars then there is no need for concern. If it is higher than the cross bars but pointed towards the back of the vehicle then there is some concern but still a good chance there will not be interference.

In some rare cases the antenna would have to be removed if not flexible enough to bend out of the way.
