Can Truck with 6-1/2 inch Lift Tow Fifth Wheel Trailer

Question:

Hello I have a 2019 ram 2500 6.7L 4x4 mega cab. My truck has a zone 6.5” lift kit and is sitting on 37” tires x22” rims. I have the airlift 5000 airbags installed in the back. I’m looking into buying my first fifth wheel camper but am seeing that may not be possible due to the lift of my truck are there any recommendations or things I can do to be able to pull a fifth wheel camper with this configuration I have? Thanks

It is really difficult to tow a fifth wheel trailer with a lift installed much less a larger one like the 6-1/2 inch lift you have currently. The problem is that trailers are designed for the standard height of current trailers so if you raise up the bed of a trailer there isn't a way for the trailer to then be towed level as it will be nose high and most likely hitting the bed of the truck. It would take a very large lift installed on the trailer as well which just isn't something that's available.

It would take removing the lift kit on your 2019 Ram 2500 and going back to a more standard tire size to be able to tow a fifth wheel trailer. Also worth mentioning is that a good portion of the lift kit companies actually don't recommend towing with their kits installed.
