Is it safe to tow class 1 or class 2 trailers with this anti-rattle pin? It has to have a smaller diameter than the standard pin without threads.

The # SHP2082 Anti-Rattle Hitch Pin you referred to does feature a 1/2 inch diameter pin, which is the standard diameter for Class I and II hitch pins. The pin does not carry a rating, but it has more than enough capacity to handle anything a Class I or II hitch would be exposed to. Keep in mind that this anti-rattle pin can only be used with accessories that have a hollow shank.
