Recommended 7-Way and 4-Way Connector Combo for a 2005 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer Edition
Question:
There is confusion on which vehicle this trailer wiring is for in the description it mentions Chevy Silverado and Ford Excursion further in the reviews I read multiple different makes and models that were referred to. I have a 2005 Ford Excursion, Eddie Bauer edition. I need a plug in to factory plug type harness that contains both 7 pin round plug and 4 pole plugs. The one side plugs under the center somewhere into a square looking factory plug. Please direct me to the correct part needed. .

The Curt item # C55774 and the Reese item # 74682 you were looking at fit almost any make of vehicle for the last 20+ years that came with a factory 7-way connector because they use a standard USCAR connector. A USCAR 7-way socket is a standardized automotive electrical socket that provides a connection point for trailer wiring.
The Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness item # C55774 includes both a 7-way and 4-way plug and is confirmed to fit your 2005 Ford Excursion Eddie Bauer edition as long as you have the factory tow package. I like this one better because the 4-way is built into the connector not hanging off the side. You shouldn't need to go back to a square connector. The port you're looking for will be round and located right behind your bumper.
If you do not have the tow package you can add a 4-way with the Curt item # C58044 and then add the 7-way combo using item # ETBC7.
Please feel free to email me directly with any additional questions.
