What Would Typically Cause Trailer Disconnect Error After 7-Way Replace
Question:
I have a 2014 RAM 3500 Diesel. I changed out my trailer plug to your Pollack PK12706. First time towing with the new plug. I am getting trailer disconnected and check trailer brake wiring on the dash. Had the RAM dealer seal up and waterproof my truck connections and an RV tech multi-test the trailer wiring through the emergency cutoff plug. All seemed good until my next trip. Problem still exists. What else should I look at?

Usually this problem is just corrosion on the pins of the connector that needs to be sanded off. Have you tried that? Otherwise the new 7-way is not seated properly and would typically need to be unplugged and plugged back in.
