Are Trailer Tire Weight Ratings Per Tire or per Axle
Question:
Quick question I have a Vintage camper 17ft Can Ham and it has a 4 lug 175/80 R13 on it. The camper weight is 1600 pounds most r13 tires are rated 1300 pounds max. What do I do?

The good news is that the rating per tire actually gets doubled since you use two of them. So if you currently have two tires rated for 1,300 lb you are in good shape. If you need just a tire replacement the part # AM10210 would work great, or if you need a wheel and tire the part # AM3S030.
