Option to Carry Bikes With 2018 Volvo V90 That Has Factory Tow Bar

Question:

I have a North American Volvo V90 Cross Country with the factory towbar option, which is a fixed 2 ball. Im looking for a bike rack that will mount to it. I can find plenty with google...but they are all *only* available in Europe, and only fit the European ball size 50mm, I believe. Im looking to see if you are aware of any options for us North American 2 ball size owners - I know its unlikely, but I had to ask. -

Certainly doesn't hurt to ask but like you thought, there just isn't a bike rack that fits a 2 inch hitch ball on your 2018 Volvo V90. You can still carry a bike (or bikes), if you like, but you'll just need a different method, either a trunk-mounted bike rack or a roof rack with a roof-mounted bike rack. I'll go ahead and give you the options for both just in case that's something you want to consider.

The roof rack option is better overall because your bike(s) will be more secure compared to using a hanging rack, and it also gives you the option of using other accessories if that's something you do, or will be doing in the future. Keep in mind the roof rack will only fit your V90 if it has flush-mounted rails that run front to back.
