Recommended Replacement For An Atwood GCH6A-10E RV Water Heater

Question:

I just read one of your post that a person was replacing the GCH6A-10E. Closet match would be the DMC74FR. Recommended the Furrion thankless FR98SR. My question is I dont use the gas part of my water heater what would you recommend?

All of the water heater models we currently offer require LP gas to heat the water so we don't currently have an electric heater to offer you at this time. There are electric models on the market but I can't really speak to their efficiency or reliability. Out of the options we currently offer I recommend going with the Furrion RV Tankless Water Heater # FR98SR to replace your GCH6A-10E.

All of the options we currently offer, including the # FR98SR, are a bit smaller in size than older models so you will have to frame in the sides of the unit so that it has something to mount to. You'll want to use butyl tape # AL28FJ on the mounting flange of both the unit and access door and some non-sag sealant # 344270341437-1 around the outer edge of the access door for a waterproof seal.
