All Parts Needed to Tow U-Haul Trailer With 2011 Hyundai Sonata Non-Hybrid
Question:
I plan to tow a Uhaul motorcycle trailer with a 2011 Hyundai Sonata no hybrid. I think based on the description, this hitch receiver is what I need. But I have a few questions, what other parts do I need to make this work, any recommendations? Particularly the height of the ball mount. For the basic information about the motorcycle trailer: U-Haul couplers take either a 2 inch or 1-7/8 inch ball. The optimal ball height for towing U-Haul trailers is 18½ to 18¾ inches. This is measured from the ground to the middle of the hitch ball, prior to connecting the trailer.

Appreciate that info and we can go ahead and get you all the parts you need, including the ball mount, to tow the U-Haul trailer with your 2011 Hyundai Sonata non-hybrid. I'll go ahead and list them for you below:
- Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C11025
- Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # C56049
- Curt Class II Euro Style Drawbar with 1-7/8" Ball - 6-5/8" Rise # C45591
- Hitch Pin and Clip # F-4
Both the hitch and wiring harness are fits for your '11 Sonata, and that ball mount is what you need because it is the one with the most possible rise for a 1-1/4" hitch. You won't be perfectly level with this but you'll be close, about an inch or so off, which is within an acceptable range.
