Solution for Furrion Vision S Side Cameras that Are On All The Time and Drain Battery
Question:
I have a 2021 Jayco slx7 174BH travel trailer that came with the Furrion side vision cameras in the lenses already on the trailer. I had the dealership put on the rear camera. Everything works great, but I noticed at night while parked camping and disconnected from the truck, each side camera has a a little cone of red lights that are always on.To me this is a drain on my 12 volt system when boon docking. Is there a way I can turn these completely off when unhooked and save the battery drain or will I have to trace down the wires and install a manual cutoff switch. They came with the trailer. Dont really use them as I tow with trailer towing mirrors.

Usually the side cameras are wired to the running light circuit of the trailer wiring and not to the battery like it sounds like yours is. I would switch up the wiring so that they are connected to the running light circuit instead. This would allow you to view them when head lights or running lights are on but wouldn't draw on battery when not needed.
