Trailer Wiring Recommendation for a 1997 BMW 3 Series (E36)

Hello, Im looking to purchase CURT Trailer Hitch C11177 for my 1997 BMW E36 Sedan. I plan to tow a small trailer for a set of wheels or a go-kart. Can you guide me on what wiring I should install for this setup? Can you point me to the right kit? Thanks!

I recommend installing the Curt Powered Tail Light Converter # C59236 with the Curt Class I Hitch Receiver # C11177 on your 1997 BMW 3 Series (E36) as it has the newer module that's better protection for the vehicle and the trailer.

In addition to all of this you'll need a ball mount setup with the appropriate rise/drop to tow a trailer. I'm linking a helpful article on ball mounts for you to check out and make sure you get the right one for your application.
