hI, i HAVE A 2004 F-250 XLT SUPERDUTY SHORT BED TRUCK, AND I NEED TO FIND OUT THE DISTANCE FROM THE REAR OF THE TRUCK TO THE FIRST RAIL.

The distance from the rear of the bed of your 2004 Ford F250 to the first rail will be 32-1/4 inches.
I attached a picture that I took from the installation instructions for the rail kit part # RP50082-58 that is confirmed to fit your truck that shows other installation dimensions that you might find informative as well.
