Solution for an RV That Has Two Circuits Overlapping Each Other
Question:
Hi-hope that you can help us. lets start everything here is control circuits so 24V DC max. stay with us herewe have a dry contact 24V relay that opens a door. right now it receives signal from a request to enter station and an emergency fire alarm call.....stay with us.. what is happening is that when the request to enter is activated it is opening the door but the current is also going into the fire alarm loop and activating the fire alarmI have been looking at your RM 792it seems to me if I put the fire alarm on the in side and the request to exit on the in side and have the out side then connect to the dry contact that operates the doorit should workI think the two in connections are separate and one does not energize when the other is activated-can you tell medo you agree with our thinking here?

If I understand you correctly you're saying that a signal that feeds your door to open is also simultaneously feeding your fire alarm and causing the both of them to activate.
Seeing as though you don't want your fire alarm activating every time your door opens I can see the issue.
All you're going to need then, is to install a set of diodes # RM-792 to separate the signals.
These diodes will work with your 24V system as they have a 24v maximum voltage rating, and also has a max amperage rating of 85 amps.
