Can A BAKFlip MX4 And TruXedo Elevate Rack Both Be Installed On A 2016 Ford F-150
Question:
Hello, I have a 2016 Ford F150 SuperCrew Cab with a 67inch bed. I want to install the TruXedo Elevate Rack system with the BakFlip MX4. If I install the Elevate Rack System with TS Rails can I also install the BakFlip MX4? My local rack dealer says this combination is not possible and not allowed, which is confusing given I see it on YouTube.

The TruXedo Elevate Truck Bed Rack System # TX96NV has rails that add a mounting lip to be compatible with most inside-the-bedrail mounted tonneau covers like the BAKFlip MX4 Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK48329 you referenced. The issue people tend to run into is that it is a bit of a tight fit and the seals on the edge of the cover will rub against the ladder rack, which can wear them out faster and allow water to leak in. This voids the warranty on the seals so most shops want to avoid doing it unless you sign a waiver releasing them from any liability.
If you look at the product page for the # TX96NV we have the MX4 listed as a compatible fit and I'm pretty sure the video Ryan made is a combination of the MX4 and # TX96NV.
