Should Kenda Karrier S-Trail Tire & Wheel AM31199DX Lose 5 PSI Overnight

Question:

I recently bought a set of Kenda tires item number AM31199DX. I installed them and inflated to 65 psi. The next day a friend said they look a little soft. I checked and they read 55-60 so I again inflated them to 65 psi and the put the camper in the garage. That was 4 days ago. I got it back out today and checked again and they both read 57-60. is this normal for brand new tires or should I be concerned? Im taking the camper about an hour away this weekend and can keep an eye on them. We have a month long trip in July that Id like to have this resolved before we leave.

First, thanks for the purchase of the Kenda Karrier S-Trail ST145/R12 Radial Tire w/ 12" White Spoke Wheel # AM31199DX, and they shouldn't be losing 5 psi overnight, but it likely isn't a cause for concern.

There are a couple very likely things that could be happening, starting with when you inflated them. If it was quite warm, say in the afternoon and evening, they are going to lose air pressure going to a lower ambient temperature overnight. Another thing that could be happening is a somewhat loose valve stem so just take a look at that and make sure it is completely seated.
