How Does Lomax Hard Tonneau Cover for 2023 Ram 1500 with Multi-Function Tailgate Lock

How does the Security of this Lomax Tonneau cover works with Ram 1500 with Multifunction Tailgate and RamBox? Do you have to open the tailgate in order to open to pull the release cable to open the cover?

Yes, the release handle for the Lomax Hard Tonneau Cover part # LOM54FR can only be accessed from inside the truck bed so you'll need to have the tailgate open for this to happen. In other words, if the tailgate is locked then so is your tonneau cover. It's a bit dirty but I did find an install photo for you of this cover on the same truck with the same tailgate option.
